DESCRIPTION
VigilArc Array - direction-finding station of the ultra-short baseline system VigilArc USBL.
The device uses a fixed-length signal with code division to determine the direction, range and depth of responder-beacons VigilArc Tag.
With an external GNSS receiver and compass, the device determines the absolute coordinates of the responder-beacons. Up to 16 responder-beacons can be operated sequentially.
The ideal solution for determining the direction and distance to ROVs, AUVs and divers.
Extremely small size, low power consumption and ease of use make the direction-finding system VigilArc USBL an ideal solution for working with autonomous and remotely controlled vehicles, as well as determining the relative position of divers.

- 1 A parameter that determines the maximum range at which a signal can be received, based on electro-acoustic parameters of the transmitter and receiver, spatial decrease in the intensity of sound energy, attenuation in the medium and the acoustic noise level.
- 2 Excluding the weight of the converter and cable.
- 3 The value was obtained in a laboratory static experiment, without taking into account the multipath propagation effect.

- 6 Provided that the correct value of the speed of sound is set in the system and the sound propagates along a path close to linear. In case of significant refraction, the measured range may be greater than the actual one because the acoustic signal propagates along a curved path. In most cases in real waters the specified value is maintained; in some difficult waters, degradation of accuracy up to 0.5% of the slant range was recorded.
